La crisis que llega a nuestra ciudad por Covid-19 no es solo una crisis de salud. Es una crisis económica, una que va pegar más fuerte a las comunidades obreras - a la gente que no tiene opción de quedarse en casa o llenar su despensa, la gente que vive al día y tiene que seguir trabajando durante esta crisis.
En apoyarles con una despensa les apoyamos en poder tomar las medidas necesarias para proteger su salud y la de su familia.
An initiative by FAT VEGAN and friends to stock the pantries of those in need in Mexico City’s “barrios bravos”
The crisis that is arriving to Mexico City due to Covid-19 is not just a health crisis. It is an economic crisis that will hit working class neighborhoods the hardest. The people in these neighborhoods don’t have the option to stay home or to stock up a pantry in case they need to. They live day to day, and will have to keep working to put food on the table during this crisis.
By helping them stock their pantries, we hope we can help give them the ability to take the necessary means to protect their health.
$25 USD CAN FEED A FAMILY OF FOUR FOR A WEEK OR MORE.
FOR A VULNERABLE SENIOR CITIZEN LIVING ALONE, IT COULD ALLOW THEM TO STAY SAFE AT HOME FOR A MONTH
EACH BAG CONTAINS 15.5 KILOS OF LEGUMES, GRAINS, FLOUR, ONIONS, AND GARLIC, 1 LITER OF COOKING OIL,
AND A FAT HELPING OF VEGAN LOVE.
